Sydney workshop – The Creative Life

October 24 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm AEDT
$140
Express yourself freely. Shape the life you desire. Find a way. The Creative Life. A day of Biodanza, connection and creative craft. With Julia and Nicole. Image of a woman jumping in the air, and another woman dancing with her arms out sideways.

Creativity is something we experience and express in how we build our lives through the everyday: in our relationships, in the challenges we face, in moments of change, in the unexpected. It is what drives us to keep moving forward, to find a way for life to continue, express itself, and expand.

We are creators in every moment, and each person’s creative ability and potential finds expression in diverse ways. Sometimes we associate creativity solely with artistic expression, but this is only one part of our creative capacity.

Everyone is creative. At work, you are creative when you write or you design a solution to meet a need or help someone else. When you cook a meal you are creating nourishment from ingredients that you might never eat separately. When life presents you with a challenge, you are creative when you problem solve and consider options for how to respond.

This 1 day workshop offers 2 Biodanza sessions where music, movement and connection with a group will help you connect with your innate creativity; followed by an optional craft session where you will use your creativity in action, learning to make your own piece of jewellery from leather scraps and metal components of your choice.

Ticket options:
*Full workshop (includes two Biodanza sessions, snacks and jewellery making session)
*Vivencia only (includes two Biodanza sessions and snacks)
Note: bookings close 1 week before the event, so that we can order supplies for the jewellery session.

About your facilitators:

JULIA

Julia is a Latina born and raised in Colombia, where she grew up surrounded by the sounds of traditional folkloric music and diverse dancing styles, in a culture that embraces dancing and music, as a way of expression and social connection.

From her studies in Psychology, her work in human relations and her deep love for music and dance, Julia sees the Biodanza system as a way to support development and transformation through connection, to oneself, others and our environment.

NICOLE

Nicole is a social worker and facilitator, poet and writing coach, jeweller and jewellery teacher, and seeker of the small pleasures in life.

As an experienced facilitator, Nicole brings her personal warmth and professional knowledge to facilitating Biodanza, combining her deep knowledge of humans and groups with the somatic wisdom of Biodanza working with and within the body, without words or goals.

Nicole is an artisan making handmade jewellery and teaches jewellery making at the Central Coast Lapidary Club. She will lead the afternoon session, teaching you how to make your own handmade jewellery from leather scraps and metal components.
