As we enter the peak of light this is a powerful moment to honor nature’s cycles\, connect with the abundance and vitality of summer and celebrate brightness within and around us. \nAn evening of celebration\, community and nourishment. \n\nWe’ll start with a special solstice-inspired Biodanza dance journey facilitated by Kate and Claudio\nThis will flow into a harmonising sound journey with Lawen Healing Rituals.\nAfter a closing circle\, we’ll share some tea\, fruit and light snacks.\n\nYour presence will make a contribution to support the great community work being done by Home of Hope in Johannesburg and Life Dance Community in Australia. \nDetails:\n✨ When: 6.30pm – 9.00pm Friday 20 December\n✨ Where: Ainslie Arts Centre – 30 Elouera St\, Braddon ACT 2612\, Australia\nDancing to express our gratitude for the year and rest into a feeling of shared abundance. 🫶 Everyone is welcome. DESCRIPTION:MUSIC * MOVEMENT * COMMUNITY\nInviting you to come on a journey of music\, movement and dance.\nRe-connect with yourself in a space for freedom and expression with no judgement ~ just the joy and release of you\, moving\, in the present moment. \nOnce a month we run an open night where you can come and try out Biodanza. Everyone is welcome\, you don’t need to be a dancer\, just be open to trying something new. \nWe often struggle to explain Biodanza with words because it is such a Lived Experience! So we invite you to come and Live the Experience for yourself and see how you feel and what you think. Perhaps invite a friend to join you. It’s just $10 to try it out on the monthly open nights. \nIf you’re ready to try\, book your spot now\n\n\nWHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW *\n\n\nYou don’t need any dance or other experience. We invite you to dance barefoot if possible. \nEverything is an invitation\, we encourage you to adapt to your body and how you feel in the moment\, in feedback with yourself and the group. \nIf you like the experience and want to continue\, you can sign up for the remainder of the month for a discounted special 1st month price is just $80. Biodanza is a process and is designed to be a regular\, weekly practice with occasional workshops. \nThere is no pressure to continue if its not for you or not for you right now. \n\n\nWHAT TO BRING & WHAT TO WEAR *\n\n\nBring a bottle of water \nWear comfy clothes that you can move easily in\, like for light exercise or yoga \n\n\nOUR STORY– Claudio and Kate *\n\n\nIn our former lives of corporate IT and international development we already loved dancing\, everything from samba and zouk to afro-fusion and flamenco. But when we encountered Biodanza 20+ years ago we discovered the truly transformative power of dance. Claudio started Biodanza in Brazil and Kate in South Africa\, we also met in Biodanza. We started up Biodanza in Canberra 6 years ago after running groups in Sydney for 5 years. Kate also supervises and trains Biodanza facilitators. \nWe love sharing the joy\, aliveness and feeling of connectedness that Biodanza brings. It supports us to keep opening and growing in ourselves\, as a couple and in community.
