Biodanza and Creativity
September 10, 2022 @ 11:00 am - September 11, 2022 @ 5:00 pm AEST
$320 – $360A Biodanza and Creativity weekend workshop merges all the wonderful elements of a regular Biodanza session with many different forms of creative play.
What can you expect from this workshop?
A Biodanza and Creativity session can be a first step or a deepening of yourself toward authentic, profound contact with your own identity and latent creative capacities. Your creative energy can then ripple into your life, being expressed in everyday activities, in solving problems and dreaming your life into existence or in enjoyable moments of art.
This workshop creates a supportive space for the expression of your natural, innocent creative impulses, enabling your creativity to emerge and potential restrictions of your creativity to be freed.
How does Rolando Toro, creator of Biodanza, see Creativity?
Creativity is at the core of the evolution of the Universe – in constant change and creation. Human creativity could be considered an extension of those same Universal forces. In human beings we experience it as an impulse of innovation, inspiring us to transform our reality and experience of our life. When we create something, it is an expression of the Universe and Life living through Us. We are at the same time the Message, the Creature and the Creator.
Format of the weekend
The weekend workshop is composed of four sessions of approximately 2 hours each, two sessions per day. There will be a break in between those sessions to eat together, connect and rest.
Each session starts with specific Biodanza dances which are designed to take you into a relaxed state of sensitive perception and inspire your creative potential. It then unfolds with an invitation to spontaneously and informally express yourself through experiences that use various forms of artistic expression.
Although this workshop is not residential, we encourage you to find space to stay connected to yourself as much as possible during the weekend. Having a gentle evening Saturday is ideal, and there will be opportunity to have dinner out as a group if this interests you.

About your facilitator – Catherine
Fascinated by the endless possibility of art expression, Catherine studied 900+ hours of visual arts, including drawing (free flow, academic, realistic, technical, body & portrait) painting (watercolour, oil, on-silk), clay modelling, sculpture, other creativity mediums and art history.
From childhood, dancing was a natural and heartfelt way of expressing herself that blossomed from ballet, through jazz, salsa and belly dance. In 2000 this love for dance culminated with the discovery of Biodanza, which invites participants to “be danced” by life, from an intimate feeling of being fully alive in the moment.
After a few years of facilitating Biodanza in Europe, Catherine initiated the Biodanza movement in Australia in 2007 and the Biodanza School of Australia in 2011.
Catherine also offers various therapeutic modalities including Clinical Hypnotherapy, Voice Dialogue, Energetic Treatments, Meditation and Cranio-Sacral therapy.

This class offers you freedom to choose and explore in a way that feels right for you
Everything in Biodanza and this workshop is an invitation. The dances and invitations are carefully designed to support you to explore yourself, your relationship to others, to your creativity and to life. The group is offered guidance from the facilitator before each invitation to move or create, however you are then invited to find your own movement or creative expression within this guidance. This workshop is accessible regardless of your ability. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss this.
